Xerox TS of anecdotal memoir written by Charles Henry Knight, Royal Field Artillery. Not dated, but mentions the assassination of Colonel le Marchant, which took place in 1899.
The account gives details of incidents which took place in the various camps in which he stayed, painting an image of some of the lighter sides of army life. Places mentioned include Peshawar, Khyber, St Thomas’s Mount, Madras, Bombay.
